Find a complete idea inside a longer conversation
Upload a video recording you own or have permission to use. Clipper transcribes speech and suggests excerpts with start and end times, a proposed hook and a reason for the selection. Review the suggestions against the original conversation: a good Short should make sense to someone who has never watched the full episode.
Keep the context while tightening the edit
Open a candidate in the editor and adjust its boundaries. Keep the question if the answer needs it, remove an unnecessary introduction, and avoid cutting off the speaker's conclusion. You can also select an excerpt manually from the transcript when you already know which moment you want to share.
Frame and caption each clip
Set the vertical crop for your chosen excerpt, then review the generated captions. Correct guest names, technical terms and punctuation before choosing a caption style. Preview the whole clip to check that the framing and text work together. You remain responsible for the final editorial choices.
Build a publishing routine from one episode
Render the selected clips as 9:16 MP4 videos. Download the results or connect your YouTube channel to publish or schedule them after reviewing the details. Source minutes and exports are counted separately: analyzing an episode uses source minutes, while each successful render uses an export.

Can I use an audio-only podcast?
This workflow is designed for video recordings. Start with the video version of your podcast or interview; Clipper is not an audio-to-video scene generator.
Does AI decide what gets published?
No. AI suggests excerpts, but you choose the clips, review their captions and framing, and confirm publication or scheduling.
Do I need a subscription?
